Ciudad Lineal 1970
Overview: Inspired by the urban utopia of Arturo Soria y Mata, who with his "Ciudad Lineal" theorized an idea of universal, a priori urban expansion, infinitely repeatable and adaptable to all conditions, the film takes the form of a choral portrait of a city in transformation. The material that constitutes it, drawn from the Superottimisti Regional Archive, is the private and amateur film production of nine families who live there and who, holding the camera inside and outside their homes, trace heterogeneous itineraries in space and time, pursuing the loves , desires and dramatic experiences of their lives.
