Overview: In 1915, Raoul Barre hired young animators GREGORY LA CAVA (who was later to become a distinguished Hollywood director) and FRANK MOSER to produce a series of cartoons titled "Animated Grouch Chasers." Each one combined live action and animated sequences. The Hicks In Nightmareland features several of the latter. Best is Cartoons On The Beach, in which Mr. Hicks fantasizes that hes floating high in the sky. He takes a bite out of a cloud and sprouts wings.
